Ex-MEGADETH Guitarist FRIEDMAN Featured In New Japanese TV Show

Former MEGADETH guitarist Marty Friedman's official web site has been updated with the following message:

"The sequel to last year's hit [Japanese] TV show 'Hebimetasan' is called 'Rock Fujiyama' and [it] makes its debut April 3rd! Marty and the rest of the cast can be seen every Monday night at 1AM on TV Tokyo.

"'Hebimetasan', the book, is currently in production and will be on sale shortly. The book features Marty on the cover and an in-depth behind-the-scenes look at the making of the show, the cast, and lots of fun facts.

"In other TV news, Marty is the featured guest on 'Cool Japan', a show sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. On air dates are March 25 (Sat.) at 3PM and March 29 (Wed.) at 8PM. He can also be seen on the new music show 'Double Million', playing three songs live, broadcast on April 6th on the BS-I network.

"The new issue of Saizo, which features Marty's monthly interview, goes on sale March 18."

Friedman is currently recording a new solo album for a tentative late 2006 release.
